My journey…
From day one Jenna has been a “do-er”. Whether it was playing “office” under the piano bench or cataloguing her mother’s business’ check stubs on a sick-day, Jenna has had a passion for organizational management and structure. Those inherent characteristics were fostered as she entered the workforce at a young age, and continued to grow as she pursued her undergraduate and legal degrees.
Following law school, Jenna moved to Washington, DC where she found herself squarely in the middle of the medical non-profit world. There she was exposed to an abundance of new things, including: medical terminology, medical coding and reimbursement structures, coverage negotiations with national health plans, Medicare & Medicaid rulemaking, and even litigation against the federal government.
After five years in the Nation’s Capital, Jenna felt the pull to return to her roots. In 2014 she relocated to her home-state of Michigan and founded a consulting company: Minton Healthcare Strategies. Six years later, she rebranded the company and Proactive Strategies, LLC was born!
From 2014-2023 she also served as the Director of Operations and Interim Executive Director for Residential Options, Inc., a Michigan non-profit that provides care for adults and children with developmental disabilities, including ABA assessment and treatment services.
Today she enjoys her role as the Owner and CEO of Proactive Strategies, LLC., located in West Michigan. In 2023, the team grew to five and now includes individuals with diverse backgrounds and education in healthcare, medical coding, and business. The team is privileged to support a client base that is equally diverse, on a wide-range of projects and activities.
During her free time she can be found at the barn with her horses, on a pontoon at the family cottage, or out on the golf course with friends. She is a dog rescuer and loves anything related to travel, cooking, and wine.
